
Rapid Response, TIS Energy Distributes 500 Aid Packages to Residents Affected by Tuntang River Embankment Breach

Demak — Responding to the breach of the Tuntang River embankment that occurred on Monday, February 16, 2026, at around 3:00 PM (WIB), TIS Energy through its Blora working area swiftly distributed 500 ready-to-eat meal packages to affected residents.
Based on information from the field, the Tuntang River embankment collapsed at two locations in Demak Regency, namely Dempel Hamlet and Mlati Hamlet, Pilangwetan Village, Kebonagung District. The incident affected more than 200 households (approximately 500 people) who were impacted by flooding and required support for basic necessities, particularly ready-to-eat meals.
The aid distribution took place on February 17–18, 2026, centered at the Pilangwetan Village Hall, in coordination with the local village government to ensure that the assistance was delivered in an orderly and well-targeted manner.
As part of its commitment to communities around its operational area, TIS Energy, through its Community Involvement and Development Program (PPM) “SIGAP TIS”, provided emergency relief assistance to help ease the burden on affected residents.
General Manager of TIS Energy, Heri Suryanto, stated that the company remains committed to being present in times of emergency faced by local communities.
“We are deeply concerned about the incident caused by the breach of the Tuntang River embankment. We are committed to responding quickly and providing tangible support to the affected communities. Through this initiative, we aim to ensure that the assistance reaches those who need it most and helps meet residents’ urgent needs,” he said.
Meanwhile, Head of Pilangwetan Village, Toha Mahsun, expressed appreciation for the swift response.
“On behalf of the residents of Pilangwetan Village, we would like to express our gratitude for the concern and assistance provided by TIS Energy. This support is very helpful for our residents who were affected, particularly in meeting the urgent need for ready-to-eat meals during this emergency period,” said Toha.
The PPM program “SIGAP TIS” is part of TIS Energy’s ongoing commitment to strengthening social resilience among communities surrounding its operational areas, particularly in disaster situations. The program is designed to ensure a rapid, coordinated response aligned with the priority needs of affected communities.
TIS Energy will continue to coordinate with village authorities and relevant stakeholders to monitor developments on the ground and ensure that the distribution of assistance proceeds smoothly.
