TIS Energy Records 500,000 Safe Manhours at RBG Block I as Contribution to National Energy Security

Press Release 09 January 2026

GROBOGAN — TIS Energy, through its Blora working area and the RBG Block I facility, has achieved 500,000 safe manhours without a lost-time accident. This milestone reflects the consistent implementation of occupational safety standards while supporting the sustainability of Indonesia’s upstream oil and gas operations.

RBG Block I is a gas production facility that has been operating since December 2023 and is located in Pranten Village, Gubug District, Grobogan Regency, Central Java. Gas well re-entry activities were carried out in 2022, and the facility currently produces approximately 10 MMSCFD of gas, contributing to the fulfillment of national energy needs.

In carrying out its operations, TIS Energy places Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) as a top priority. All operational activities at RBG Block I have obtained environmental permits from the Ministry of Environment since 2021, which were subsequently updated in 2023 and 2025.

The achievement of more than 500,000 safe manhours reflects effective risk management within a complex operational environment involving various technical activities and diverse human resources. A strong safety culture serves as a key foundation in maintaining operational reliability and ensuring sustainable gas production.

General Manager of TIS Energy (Blora PSC), Heri Suryanto, stated that this milestone not only reflects the company’s safety performance but also its commitment to supporting national energy security.

“Workplace safety is a fundamental prerequisite for the sustainability of upstream oil and gas operations. The achievement of 500,000 safe manhours at RBG Block I demonstrates TIS Energy’s commitment to operating safely, reliably, and sustainably. Through safe and stable operations, we also contribute to maintaining national gas supply as part of efforts to strengthen Indonesia’s energy security,” said Heri.

Moving forward, TIS Energy remains committed to continuously strengthening the implementation of occupational safety standards and environmental protection to ensure that upstream oil and gas operations are conducted sustainably, achieve zero accidents, and deliver tangible benefits to the nation.
